Farewell to Miriam Weisz

The death of a saint is an event mixed in a peculiar blend of joy and sorrow. Joy in the knowledge that when one closes his or her eyes on planet earth for the last time, ones eyes instantly open in the presence of our most glorious Risen Savior. Sorrow in that our hearts are broken at being deprived of the love and fellowship of a cherished friend in Christ. Such are the feelings going through my mind this day as I reflect upon the note on my desk informing me of the departure of Miriam Weisz.
She was, and her husband still is a devout follower of Jesus and dedicated to the work of spreading the Gospel in Trout Creek, Ontario. I have been royally entertained in their home those times I had the privilege of preaching in their home church.
Nandor, our prayers are with you and the children. She will be missed.
